APPROVAL OF February 8, 2022 MINUTES
A motion was made by S. Carter, seconded by Ryan, to Approve the February
8, 2022 Minutes. The motion passed by voice vote/other.

2. 16466 Introduce New Madison Arts Commission Member
Everyone introduced themselves to Nicholas Pjevach.
3. 27011 Art in Public Places
Katie Ryan, Public Art Program Committee Chair, reported on the Committee's
recommendations on Artist's works for the Monona Terrace's temporary public art
placements.
Meri Rose Ekberg, Planning Staff, presented the draft Thurber Park Call for Artists. MAC
members discussed increasing the stipend to keep up with cost of living.
A motion was made by Ryan, seconded by Senarighi, to Approve the proposed
artist's recommendations to Monona Terrace. The motion passed by voice
vote/other.
A motion was made by Jurewicz, seconded by S. Carter, to Approve the
increase of the stipend amount to $7080 and release the Thurber Park Call for
Artist. The motion passed by voice vote/other.

4. 21625 MAC Annual Grant Review
Since Commissioner Yvette Pino has left the Commission, another member is needed for
the Arts Grants Program Committee. New Commissioner Nick Pjevach agreed to join this
Committee.
Artists At Work Grant Guidelines and Application have been posted.
Reminder that Grant Review dates are March 30 & 31, and April 4.
5. 21279 MAC Administrative Reports
The new date for the Silver Linings Awards has been set for May 12, 2022. The contract for
conservation of the Annie Stewart Fountain is almost complete. The new Madison Municipal
Building Exhibition "Imprinted on Madison" has been installed and will be up through next
February.
