to help protect our community from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Assistant Chief Price shared information from the attached report.
3. 69146 Report/Discussion on CARES Unit - Assistant Chief Che Stedman
Assistant Chief Stedman shared an overview on the CARES unit. He spoke on
the unit and additional staffing that will be added in June (Project coordinator,
2 community paramedics, 2 crisis workers). It was asked that he would
continue to update the PSRC on updates to the unit.

6. 69148 Madison Police Strategic Plan Update
Captain Drescher shared an update on the strategic planning process; Internal
interviews wrapped up in December with the consulting group working on

data. The next step is a community meeting with focus groups. It was asked
that updates are continued to be shared with the PSRC.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
7. 69150 Report from Chair and Co-Chair
Konkel mentioned to committee members as a reminder to submit the
statement of interest forms. PSRC members should have received an email
regarding this.
It was asked to make sure to repond to the email regarding attendance prior to
the meeting to make sure quorum is met.
8. 69152 Report from Alders
The Alders had nothing to report at this time.
9. 69153 Report from the Budget Subcommittee and schedule a meeting date.
It was asked for support staff Hardiman to work on scheduling a budget
subcommittee meeting.
REPORT OF THE CITY ATTORNEY
10. 65366 Discussion on how the PSRC can have regular communication with the
Police and Fire Commission and Oversight Board.
Update from the May 2021 PSRC meeting on the roles of the Police and Fire
Commission, Public Safety Review Committee, and Citizen Oversight Board.

11. 69149 Discussion on MPD's use of chemical munitions

Alder Benford made a motion to refer to the February meeting. Moe seconded
the motion. There was unanimous consent from the committee.
12. 68366 Madison Metropolitan School District Safety and Officer Response
This item was referred to the February PSRC meeting. It was asked to invite
MMSD legal team to the February meeting to answer questions as directed
from MMSD security staff.

14. 68915 Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign a ten (10) year contract selected
on a non-competitive true sole source basis for annual maintenance with
Tyler Technologies for its existing New World Public Safety System and sign
a contract to purchase an analytics dashboard and module through Tyler
Technologies

Alder Heck made a motion to return to lead with recommendation to adopt.
Rickey seconded the motion. There was unanimous consent.
