3. Approval of previous meeting minutes
Motion by Dr. Calvert, seconded by Dr. Colella to approve prior meeting minutes of May
and August 2021. There were no objections.
4. Private Provider Report
Asst Chief Parish said that from the last meeting, it was decided to extend the Private
Provider reporting process to the calendar year. So, the reports presented extend a
little bit on September, and continue through December of this year.

5. Private Provider Certification- Extension letter
Chief Lipski said that this letter recognizes the extreme, and changing circumstances
that have occurred to date; to fill enormous gaps in the EMS system, working on new
payment structures; and it requests the ambulance service board, the ability to extend
the presence of Certification period to give MFD time to catch up with sorting details
and paperwork.
Dr. Colella, seconded by Dr Calvert, moved to accept the request for extension.
6. Status update-Private Provider EMT cohort- Chief Purifoy-Smoots
Asst Chief Purifoy said that there are two private provider cohorts classes: one started
November 1st, from monday to thursday from 9 to 1pm; 18 students attending.
Second class started on November 6th, Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 5pm; 27
students enrolled, 22 showed up.
7. Status update on staffing with privates
Chief Parish said that currently, call back value has experience reduction.
The approval of 2 BLS ambulance apparatus for the use of private providers to service
more vulnerable population.
From private providers:
Mr. Jurecki said that although these measures may seem a bit unusual, it is working
rather well, helping in solving current challenges.
Bell ambulance is dedicated to 9-1-1 calls, this has almost eliminated turn-backs.
Mr. Baker said that they are almost ready for some units to be up an running before
thanksgiving.
8. Comments, discussion from private providers
Mr. Baker and Mr. Anderson are thankful for the new efforts MFD has offered to aide in
the gaps city has faced.
9. Public Comments
Words of encouragement and appreciation were expressed by all members and
participants, given the efforts put forth during these trying times.

Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on
whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the
Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee,
whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In
the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be
taken at the simultaneous meeting.
Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities
through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids. For additional information or to request this
service, contact the City Clerk's Office ADA Coordinator at 286-2998, (FAX)286-3456,
(TDD)286-2025 or by writing to the Coordinator at Room 205, City Hall, 200 E. Wells Street,
Milwaukee, WI 53202.
Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit)
at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking
tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are
required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division. Registered lobbyists appearing
before a Common Council committee are required to identify themselves as such. More information
