Call to Order The City Service Commission meeting was called to order at 1:42 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present 5 - Bock, Miller, Smith, Cleary and Monteagudo 3. 210654 Approval of the Board of City Service Commissioners Minutes from the regular meeting held on July 27, 2021 Attachments: CSC Minutes - 8.17.2021 APPROVED Aye 3- Bock, Millerand Smith No 0 Abstain 2- Clearyand Monteagudo 4. 210652 The Annual Meeting of the Board of City Service Commissioners under the provisions of Section 63.18 of the Wisconsin Statues, which states: "The Commissioner shall, at a meeting in July of each year, elect one member to act as the President and one member to act as Vice President, each for a term of one year and until a successor is duly elected." a.) Election of Vice President Attachments: CSC - ELECTIONS of President and Vice President Election Procedures City of Milwaukee Page 1 BOARD OF CITY SERVICE Meeting Minutes - Final August 17, 2021 COMMISSIONERS At the CSC meeting held on July 27, 2021, the commission decided to hold this item (#210619) until its next meeting on August 17, 2021 when all commissioners were present and able to vote. Below are the election results: The Commission voted for President of the Civil Service Commission and unanimously elected Frank Bock as the President. Mr. Bock accepted that role. The Commission voted for Vice President of the Civil Service Commission and unanimously elected Marilyn Miller as the Vice President. Ms. Miller accepted that role. APPROVED Aye 5- Bock, Miller, Smith, Clearyand Monteagudo No 0 5. 210653 The Secretary reports receipt of a communication from the Department of Public Works Department for an extension of Probationary Period for Eric Humphrey, Operations Driver Worker, for three additional months. Attachments: Ext. of Probationary Period - Eric Humphrey DPW Kaylyn Jennik, DPW, was present to answer any questions from the Commissioners. APPROVED Aye 5- Bock, Miller, Smith, Clearyand Monteagudo No 0 6. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 1:56 p.m. by Miller/Monteagudo - Unanimous. Commissioner Monteagudo spoke on record that August 18, 2021 will be her last day to serve on the City Service Commission. In the event that Common Council members who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of the following committees: Community and Economic Development, Finance and Personnel, Judiciary and Legislation, Licenses, Public Safety and Health, Public Works, Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids. Parking tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
