Attachments: Ext. Temp. Appt. Jason Otto.MWW. The Commission chose to extend the end date to February 8, 2021. Patrick Pauly was in attendance. APPROVED Aye 3- Bock, Smithand Cleary No 0 Excused 1- Miller 6. 210959 The Secretary reports receipt of a communication from the Department of Public Works for an extension of Temporary Appointment for Antara Terry, Human Resources Assistant from October 26, 2021 and ending on January 29, 2022. Attachments: Ext. of Temp. Appt. Antara Terry.DPW. Lindsey O'Connor was in attendance to answer any questions. APPROVED Aye 3- Bock, Smithand Cleary No 0 Excused 1- Miller 7. 210961 The Secretary reports to the Commission the Findings and Decision from the Discharge Appeal hearing for Mr. Louis Jones from the meeting held on September 28, 2021. Attachments: Findings & Decision.Mr. Louis Jones - Discharge Appeal Upheld Reference #210901. APPROVED Aye 3- Bock, Smithand Cleary No 0 Excused 1- Miller 8. 210962 Proposed Change to City Service Rule XIV, Section 12 (q), Discharge, Appeal, Hearing is Introduced. The proposed clarification is to reinforce City of Milwaukee Page 2 BOARD OF CITY SERVICE Meeting Minutes - Final October 12, 2021 COMMISSIONERS the existing expectation and practice relative to City employees adhering to all established rules, policies or procedures. Attachments: Introduction of clarification to RULE XIV.Sec.12(q) Initial Approval was granted. This item will be placed on the 10.26.21 agenda for final approval. In the event that Common Council members who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of the following committees: Community and Economic Development, Finance and Personnel, Judiciary and Legislation, Licenses, Public Safety and Health, Public Works, Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
