Roll Call Present: Lyn Ranta, Caroline Gomez-Tom, Ruthie Burich-Weatherly, Bria Grant, LaNelle Ramey, Wujie Zhang, Ericka Sinclair (arrived at 5:30pm); Alderwomen Chantia Lewis (arrived at 6:30pm). Excused: Julia Means 2. City Attorney Opinion re: Establishing a Board of Health | Tom Miller, Assistant City Attorney Assistant City Attorney Tom Miller reviewed the City Attorney's Opinion regarding establishing a Board of Health. Specifically, Assistant Attorney Miller reviewed the powers granted to the board through State Statute. 3. Review and Approve Board of Health Rules and Regulations Board of Health members reviewed and revised their proposed Rules and Regulations. A motion was made by Alderwomen Lewis and seconded by Board Member Grant to approve the proposed Rules and Regulations. This motion prevailed with the following vote: Aye: 8 (Ranta, Gomez-Tom, Burich-Weatherly, Grant, Lewis, Ramey, Sinclair, Zhang) No: 0 Aye: 8 (Ranta, Gomez-Tom, Burich-Weatherly, Grant, Lewis, Ramey, Sinclair, Zhang) No: 0 4. MKE Elevate Overview and Next Steps | Darryl Davidson, Public Health Strategist Darryl Davidson, Public Health Strategist, provided an overview of the City of Milwaukee Health Department's Community Health Improvement Plan, MKE Elevate. Mr. Davidson also presented a brief overview of strategies to reengage partners in the plan's implementation. 5. Board Elections The Board selected Dr. Lyn Ranta to serve as President. Adjournment A motion was made by Board Member Gomez-Tom and seconded by Board Member Ramey to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:01pm.
