The meeting was called to order at 5:34 PM.

3. Approval of meeting minutes from April 2021
Board Member Grant motioned to approve, Board Member Sinclair seconded, motion passed, with
none opposed.
4. Communication from MHD Health Commissioner, Kirsten Johnson.

MHD has administered over 100,000 doses in the past month, bringing the total doses administered
to over 156,000. Currently 35.2% of Milwaukee is fully vaccinated and 42.3% have received at least
one dose. MHD is expecting that 12-15 year olds will become eligible in the next week. As part of
MHD’s outreach, Crush COVID Crew Ambassadors will be trained, though this program has been
slightly delayed for a legal review of HIPAA compliance.

5. OVP Update from Marlaina Jackson
Former OVP Director Reggie Moore has resigned and MHD is in final stages of recruitment for a
new Director.
6. MHD Lab Update

Dr. Bhattacharyya presented an overview of the Lab’s Genomic surveillance of SARS-COV-2.
7. Discussion of DHS 140 certification
a. Updates, communications update and timeline

MHD Leadership is in communication with DHS and will be submitting an action plan to the state.
8. Milwaukee Health Department branch collaboration updates
a. Presentation and discussion from BOH members on branch collaborations
Board Member Grant has had conversations with DHS lead policy advisor to secure funding for
Lead-Safe Advisory Committee, highlight immediate needs, and will advocate to secure essential
positions to be filled.
9. Future agenda items
a. Moving board mtgs to every other month, discussion
In June, the board will discuss lead and STIs for additional items reach out to Board President and
Vice President.

Ald. Lewis motioned, Dr. Martin seconded, the motion passed with none opposed.

Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the
City Clerk's Office License Division. Registered lobbyists appearing before a Common Council committee are required to
