Discuss Dedicated Renewable Energy Resource (DRER) program proposed improvements • Letter to WE Energies in regards DRER. o Ask: battery storage or excess credit goes to lower income customers o Battery specifics: tariff doesn’t have wording about batteries • Local job creation: specific provisions related to local training in the solar field (MATC & City of Milwaukee have interest in workforce development) • Transparency: system cost and customer load o Dashboards to see production for energy management City of Milwaukee Page 1 CITY-COUNTY TASK FORCE ON Meeting Minutes March 15, 2021 CLIMATE AND ECONOMIC EQUITY o Performance guarantees • LMP pricing and capacity value • None of these are new issues for WE Energies, they were discussed prior • Major policy or regulatory changes to be included in agreement • Motion to move forward with letter • Review of other utility's rates • Find other large utility customers to participate that might be interested in DRER • MMSD backed out of solar now because they had issues with updated rate case • UWM was not taken seriously for solar now program • Advocate with PSC for bigger changes • Clarify proposed improvements to service agreement - P. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
