Meeting format, process, and purpose (10 minutes)  Raised hand and chat features / Check-in  Consensus process  Inform, coordinate, and advise role ▪ Raised hand and chat features / Check-in Evans reviewed the Zoom features and discussed how we could use them to make better use of our time and facilitate discussion. Use the “chat” feature for roll call and to ask questions. Use the “raise hand” feature to be added to the stack to speak to the group. ▪ Consensus process Evans presented a process for making decisions that enables all voices to be heard. Process identifies areas for agreement, but doesn’t require unanimity. Working group agreed to move forward with this process for committee level decision making, with the understanding that Shambarger may need to make executive decisions to keep the project moving. ▪ Inform, coordinate, and advise role 3. Updates (45 minutes)  Tank Brain status: Erick Shambarger (15 minutes)  Vulnerability Assessment: Pam Ritger (30 minutes) ▪ Tank Brain status: Erick Shambarger Shambarger and Stillerman asked the working group to review the video at milwaukee.gov/climate-talk. Stillerman explained that the platform is only as good as the outreach, and recommended that one person be tasked with connecting with the community and making sure people are submitting their responses. Stillerman will sort through video submissions to find compelling stories that represent a variety of people and their concerns. Footage will be edited and could be used to create a video to share with the public and/or a video for internal use to inform task force and working groups. City of Milwaukee Page 2 CITY-COUNTY TASK FORCE ON Meeting Minutes March 24, 2021 CLIMATE AND ECONOMIC EQUITY Chairs of working groups will be asked to share the platform with members of their working groups. ▪ Vulnerability Assessment: Pam Ritger Ritger presented the Milwaukee Climate Change Impacts Doc to update the group and get feedback on what kind of information should be included and the scope. She clarified that this document is not a comprehensive vulnerability assessment. Its goal is to get people’s attention around climate change in Milwaukee, and to present information in a digestible way. Ritger will send the document to Evans, so she can send it to the working group to review and provide feedback to Kanthi. 4. Discussion Items: (30 minutes)  Education and Outreach Workplan  Team meetings  Possible presenters and/or presentations  Visitor questions ▪ Education and Outreach Workplan Evans presented documents that will help organize the working group and team’s work and timeline. She will let members know who their team members are and will send the documents by the end of the week. ▪ Team meetings Working group will continue to meet every other week on Mondays. Meetings will alternate between a full working group meeting and team meetings. Team meetings will begin with a quick check in and presentation to the working group. Then teams will break off to work on their projects. The full working group will come back together to check in before the meeting is adjourned. ▪ Possible presenters and/or presentations Evans asked the working group to let her know of any presenters the group would like to hear from that would be beneficial to their work. Next meeting will include a presentation on sticky messages and data from a Yale study. ▪ Visitor questions Questions were asked to Stillerman during the Tank Brain status update. ▪ Hiring an Intern Group agreed it would be helpful to hire an intern to take on the outreach position that Stillerman suggested. Kanthi and Evans will draft a posting to send to Shambarger. 5.
