The Pledge of Allegiance was said followed by an invocation offered by Reverend Richard
Johnson, pastor of Mount Carmel Lutheran Church..
The question was put: Are there any corrections to the Common Council Journal of
Proceedings for the regular meeting of July 23, 2013? There being none, the minutes of
the meeting were approved without objection.
Commendatory and consolatory resolutions were read and approved without objection.
President Hines recognized Reuben and Mildred Harpole who received the 2013 Frank P.
Zeidler Public Service Award during a ceremony held prior to Common Council meeting.
