The question was put: Are there any corrections to the Common Council Journal of Proceedings for the regular meeting of June 3, 2014? There being none, the minutes of the meeting were approved without objection. Ald. Zielinski moved that the Common Council resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purposes of making a presentation. There were no objections. Jose Fernando Gutierrez and Matthew Schreck, accompanied by Ald. Zielinski, Kovac, Bohl, Perez, Coggs, and Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic, appeared and were recognized as the first same sex couple to marry in the State of Wisconsin and Milwaukee County. Ald. Coggs moved that the Committee of the Whole rises. There were no objections.
