The Pledge of Allegiance was said and followed by invocation by Charles Watkins.
The question was put: Are there any corrections to the Common Council Journal of
Proceedings for the meetings of September 20 and September 26, 2016? There being
none, the minutes of the meetings were approved without objection.
Ald. Rainey moved that the Common Council resolve itself into a Committee of the
Whole for the purposes of making a presentation honoring Dr. Lester Carter. There was
also a presentation honoring Ms. Sasha Kelly and women of the Still Waters Collective.
There was no objection.
Ald. Witkowski moved that the Committee of the Whole now rises. There was no
objection.

that the Council dissolved itself into a committee of the whole.

Ald. Zielinski moved for denial of the licenses of Matthew Schmehl due to neighbor
complaints for the base kitchen and the two carts.
11 ayes, 4 noes (Coggs, Lewis, Murphy and Wikowski). Prevailed.
Ald. Rainey moved to return to committee the Food Dealer license transfer
application Adding Potentially Hazardous Foods for Rabi Hussein for the premises
located at 4320 W Center St “Center & Sherman Tobacco & Cell”. There were no
objections.

Committee relative to licenses.

Renewal, with a ten (10) day suspension, based on the applicant testimony
substantiating a citizen complaint, of the Taxicab Permit and Public Passenger
Vehicle Driver’s License for Mohamad Ali. (no written objections have been filed)
Renewal, with a ninety (90) day suspension, based on the applicant testimony and
testimony of Mr. Mohamed substantiating a citizen complaint, of the Public Passenger

Ald. Borkowski moved to rescind the 10-day suspension and for the issuance of a
warning letter based upon his effort in coming today. Pres. Hamilton read the
complaint. Failed. 4 ayes and 11 noes (nos -- Bauman, Bohl, Coggs, lRAiney,
Lewis, Murphy, Perez, Witkowski, Zielinski, Stamper and Hamilton). There were no
other motions relative to this matter.
