There being none, the minutes of the meeting were approved without objection. City of Milwaukee Page 2 COMMON COUNCIL Meeting Minutes September 21, 2021 Ald. Zamarripa moved for the Common Council to resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of receiving presentations. There were no objections. Presentations were made for the following: A resolution recognizing the organizers and participants of the March on Madison for Immigrants' Rights led by presenter/escort Ald. Jose Perez. A resolution congratulating the Milwaukee Bucks on winning the NBA Championship led by presenter/escort Ald. Robert Bauman. From his Honor, Mayor Tom Barrett, relating to the proposed executive budget for the year 2022. His Honor, Mayor Tom Barrett, appeared and addressed the Common Council regarding the Mayor's proposed executive budget for the year 2022. Ald. Murphy moved that the Committee of the Whole rise. There were no objections. Ald. Murphy moved, pursuant to provisions of Chapter 18-04-6 of the Milwaukee City Charter, that a public hearing on the proposed budget for 2021 be held jointly and virtually by the Common Council and the Mayor on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 6:30 p.m., and further, that the City Clerk be directed to publish the time and place of said hearing in accordance of the same Charter provisions. There were no objections. Ald. Murphy moved that the Mayor's Budget for 2022 be referred to the Finance and Personnel Committee for its review and consideration and, further, that its report on the budget be submitted at a meeting of the Common Council to be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 9 a.m. There were no objections. Ald. Dodd moved that the Common Council rise from Committee of the Whole. There was no objection. Coggs moved that the Common Council resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purposes of hearing oral arguments on behalf of the complainant or the licenses in opposition to the report and recommendation and then a statement by the City Attorney. There were no objections. Atty. Kendrick B. Yandell, legal counsel for Marcos Ramos-Garcia, addressed the Common Council followed by Atty. Todd Farris, City Attorney's Office. Ald. Coggs moved that the committee now rise. There were no objections. The question was put: Are there any motions relative to this matter?
