The question was put: Are there any corrections to the Common Council Journal of Proceedings for the regular meeting of September 1, 2022? There being none, the minutes of the meeting were approved without objection. City of Milwaukee Page 1 COMMON COUNCIL Meeting Minutes September 20, 2022 Ald. Dimitrijevic moved for the Common Council to resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of receiving presentations. There were no objections. The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Kappa Omega and Upsilon Mu Omega Chapters in the audience were recognized being in attendance. City Treasurer Spencer Coggs, City Attorney Tearman Spencer, and Comptroller Aycha Sawa were recognized being in attendance. From his Honor, Mayor Cavalier Johnson, made a presentation relating to the proposed executive budget for the year 2023. Ald. Dimitrijevic moved that the Committee of the Whole rise. There were no objections. Ald. Dimitrijevic moved that the Mayor's Budget for 2023 be referred to the Finance and Personnel Committee for its review and consideration and, further, that its report on the budget be submitted at a meeting of the Common Council to be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 9 a.m. There were no objections. Ald. Dimitrijevic moved, pursuant to provisions of Chapter 18-04-6 of the Milwaukee City Charter, that a public hearing on the proposed budget for 2022 be held jointly and virtually by the Common Council and the Mayor on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., and further, that the City Clerk be directed to publish the time and place of said hearing in accordance of the same Charter provisions.
