Ms. Blanks didn't revise what Mr. Jansen did, but she did forward it to the City Clerk 10 minutes prior to this meeting. Ms. Terry MacDonald will also be supporting this process and Ms. Blanks would like to have them both attend a meeting. The chair is excited that the process is being started. 4. Discussion on the public meetings in the aldermanic districts - what is happening and how to market them. Mr. Jansen said that at the past few community meetings there was a lot of good discussion and differing opinions on community policing. Ms Blanks did some research for SEWRPC and Ms. Rotker was very involved with community meetings for them. The staff assistant will invite Fred Royal to attend the next meeting. Ms. Rotker said the Federal Transportation Commission had some good information on running public meetings. She noted that she had to dig on the MPD web site to find out about the September meeting. The CCC does have a Facebook page. There is a moderator for the event that is getting paid as well. Mr. Jansen went through the process of the meetings, which was gone into detail at the Sept. 29th meeting. The next step might be to try to get more Council members or the committee involved. Ms. Blanks raised her concern again that marketing is not her area of expertise and possibly Tiodolo needs to take more of a lead. The RFP needs to stay as a priority. This will be on next week's agenda. 5. Adjournment. Meeting adjourned: 12:32 PM. Linda M. Elmer Staff Assistant City of Milwaukee Page 2
