Roll call and approval of the minutes from the previous meeting. The meeting convened at 2:03 PM Individual also present: ACA Peter Block - CAO Mr. Kalscheur moved approval of the minutes, seconded by Mr. Nicholas. There were no objections. Present: 5 - Hintz, Kruse, Maus, Nicholas, Mueller Excused: 1 - Johnson 2. The Board may convene into closed session, pursuant to s. 19.85(1)(b), Wis. Stats., to consider the dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee or person licensed by a board or commission or the investigation of charges against such person, and the taking of formal action on any such matter, and/or s. 19.85(1)(h), Wis. Stats., to consider a request for confidential written advice. The Board will then reconvene into open session as authorized by s. 19.85(2), Wis. Stat., to continue with the remainder of the agenda. The Board moved to convened into closed session at 2:06 PM The Board reconvened into open session at 3:00 PM The Chair stated the Board discussed one request for confidential advisory opinion and will issue a written response. 3. Review Requested Y Footnote Changes Ms. Johnson moved, seconded by Ms. Maus the following changes to the Y footnotes: remove Special Assistant to the Comptroller, add Director of Communications and Public Engagement in the Mayor's Office, and Water Plants Operation Manager in the Milwaukee Water Works. There were no objections. 4. Report from staff relating to office activities of the previous month. City of Milwaukee Page 1 ETHICS BOARD Meeting Minutes December 15, 2020 Atty. Block stated the Board received a notification of contracting from Bria Grant member of the Board of Health. Ms. Kuether-Steele stated the Board had previously discussed changes to filing requirements for Boards that did not meet in the past year. She stated that the Board could change their rules instead of the ordinance to not require filing for Boards that had not met in the past 3 years. Atty. Block stated that the Board, on it's own motion, could issue a waiver of the filing requirement for Boards that have not met in the past 3 years. The chair stated this rule change would be voted on at the next meeting. The Board approved the 2020 Statement of Economic Interest form that will be filed in 2021. 5. Review newly filed Statement of Economic Interest Forms for clarity and completeness. The Board approved the statements of economic interest of Joshua Parish and Leon Todd. 6.
