Sponsors: Ald. Johnson Appearing: Jeffrey Polenske, Dept. of Public Works Commissioner Jeffrey Norman, Police Chief Jerrel Kruschke, Dept. of Public Works City Engineer Ald. Spiker moved division of the question between the appropriation of $5,000,000 to the Department of Public Works and $1,150,000 to the Police Department. The portion of the allocation to the Department of Public Works is reflected by CCFN 210745, and the portion of the allocation to the Police Department is reflected by CCFN 210792. This Resolution was DIVIDED 210745 Substitute resolution relating to the appropriation of American Rescue Plan Act funds for a Reckless Driving Initiative - Department of Public Works as set forth in the City of Milwaukee Stronger Summer Plan. Sponsors: Ald. Murphy and Ald. Coggs Ald. Zamarripa moved amendment of the allocation amount to $6,000,000 to the Department of Public Works. (Prevailed 5-0) A motion was made by ALD. Spiker moved to amend the file to eliminate $1.2 million allocation to the Department of Public Works for speed limit reduction. (Failed 1-4) Noes - Murphy, Kovac, Coggs, Zamarripa A motion was made by ALD. SPIKER that this Resolution be AMENDED. This motion FAILED by the following vote: Aye 1- Spiker No 4- Murphy, Kovac, Zamarripa and Coggs Ald. Zamarripa moved adoption of the $6,000,000 allocation to the Department of Public Works. (Prevailed 5-0) A motion was made by ALD. ZAMARRIPA that this Resolution be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Murphy, Spiker, Kovac, Zamarripa and Coggs No 0 210792 Substitute resolution relating to the appropriation of American Rescue Plan Act funds for a Reckless Driving Initiative - Police Department as set forth in the City of Milwaukee Stronger Summer Plan. Parking tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
