FPC20251 Resolution to approve August 6, 2020 meeting minutes This Fire And Police Resolution was ADOPTED 2. FPC20239 Resolution to approve the updates to FPC 21 and FPC 58 forms A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Everett Cocroft that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED Aye: 4- Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Wilson No: 1- McKenzie Excused: 2- Robakowski, and DeVougas City of Milwaukee Page 1 FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes - Final August 27, 2020 New Business 3. FPC20250 Communication from Acting Chief Michael J. Brunson regarding FPC directives and organizational structure for the Milwaukee Police Department This Fire and Police Communication was PLACED ON FILE Fire Department 4. FPC20259 Resolution to waiver FPC Rule VI, Qualifications, Section 6 (d) for the Fire Cadet class's start date deferred to September 21, 2020 A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Everett Cocroft that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 2- Robakowski, and DeVougas Police Department 5. FPC20267 Resolution to promote to Assistant Chief of Police (3 positions) A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Fred Crouther that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 2- Robakowski, and DeVougas 6. FPC20268 Resolution to promote to Inspector of Police (4 positions) The Chair did not ask for a motion to be made on this item. This Fire And Police Resolution was REFERRED TO to the FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION due back on 9/3/2020 7. FPC20269 Resolution to approve temporary appointment request for Staff Assistant - Senior position A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Everett Cocroft that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Wilson No: 0 City of Milwaukee Page 2 FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes - Final August 27, 2020 Excused: 2- Robakowski, and DeVougas Motion to Adjourn A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Fred Crouther that this meeting be ADJOURNED The meeting adjourned at 6:42p.m. The Board may receive a motion to convene in closed session in City Hall, room 301-B, 200 East Wells Street, pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(b), Wis. Stat. for the purpose of considering information pertaining to the dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee, and pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stat. to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and to the extent applicable, pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(f), Wis. Stat. to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories of specific candidates for employment which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories, and pursuant to Section 19.85 (1) (g) Wis. Stats. to confer with a representative of the City Attorney's Office who will render oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the Board with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning any such item following the closed session. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
