FPC20402 Resolution to approve November 5, 2020 meeting minutes A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Steven DeVougas, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 6- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 6. FPC20403 Resolution to amend Standard Operating Procedure 010 - Absences The Fire and Police Commission Compliance Auditor John McNally, provided a brief overview regarding this item. "The changes are in recognition of the pandemic. Their essentially allowing members to use accrued absence time as well as Family Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA) time, not only to care for themselves if they become ill, but also their families". Acting Chief Michael J. Brunson clarified that this Standard Operating Procedure only allows civilian members to do so. A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Angela McKenzie, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 6- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 7. FPC20404 Resolution to amend Standard Operating Procedure 080 - Family Medical Leave Act and Other Leaves A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Steven DeVougas, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. FPC20395 Resolution relating to the appointment to Battalion Chief, Fire A motion was made by Angela McKenzie, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. FPC20397 Resolution relating to contingent appointment to Fire Captain (2 positions) A motion was made by Steven DeVougas, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 6- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 12. FPC20398 Resolution relating to contingent appointment to Fire Lieutenant (2 positions) A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Angela McKenzie, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 6- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, DeVougas, and Wilson City of Milwaukee Page 3 FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes - Final November 19, 2020 No: 0 Motion to Adjourn A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Angela McKenzie for this meeting to be ADJOURNED. Stat. for the purpose of considering information pertaining to the dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee, and pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stat. to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and to the extent applicable, pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(f), Wis. Stat. to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories of specific candidates for employment which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories, and pursuant to Section 19.85 (1) (g) Wis. Stats. to confer with a representative of the City Attorney's Office who will render oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the Board with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning any such item following the closed session. This notice is being made pursuant to Section 19.84 (3) Wis. Stats., "Public Notice of every meeting...shall be given at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of such meeting unless for good cause such notice is impossible or impractical, in which case shorter notice may be given, but in no case may the notice be provided less than two hours in advance of the meeting."
