FPC20429 Resolution to approve the December 10, 2020 special meeting minutes A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Steven DeVougas to amend the December 10, 2020 special meeting minutes to include the request made by Commissioner Everett Cocroft which was to upload the resumes of Malik Aziz and Hoyt Mahaley to file FPC20426 on Legistar for public view. The amended December 10, 2020 special meeting minutes were adopted. A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Steven DeVougas, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler Fire Department 4. FPC20431 Resolution to promote without exam to the Office Coordinator II position Attachments: Promote Julson 122720 CS-25 Office Coordinator II REV 1020 A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler 5. FPC20430 Resolution relating to the promotion to Office Coordinator II Attachments: Promote Julson 122720 A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Steven DeVougas, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. FPC20432 Resolution to waiver FPC Rule XIII, Reappointment, Section 3 to reappoint former Fire Cadet Attachments: Carlos Andres Reappointment Request 122720 City of Milwaukee Page 2 FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes - Final December 17, 2020 A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Steven DeVougas, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler Police Department 7. FPC20433 Communication from Acting Chief Michael J. Brunson, Sr. regarding his retirement This Fire and Police Communication was PLACED ON FILE 8. FPC20434 Resolution to approve Milwaukee Police Department promotional position of Acting Chief A request was made by Commissioner Everett Cocroft to read the letter received from Acting Chief Michael J. Brunson on record to recognize Assistant Chief Jeffrey Norman as the Interim Acting Chief. A motion was made by Steven DeVougas, seconded by Fred Crouther, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, DeVougas, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler Motion to Adjourn A motion was made by Commissioner Steven DeVougas, seconded by Anna Wilson that this meeting be ADJOURNED. Stat. to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and to the extent applicable, pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(f), Wis. Stat. to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories of specific candidates for employment which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
