FPC21041 Resolution to approve the February 4, 2021, meeting minutes This Fire And Police Resolution was ADOPTED by general consent 3. FPC21034 Resolution to approve the Police Fleet Supervisor Eligible List This Fire And Police Resolution was ADOPTED by general consent 4. FPC21039 Resolution to approve the candidate's request to have his name removed from the Fire Lieutenant on a Paramedic Unit Eligibility List Commissioner Avalos requested to have this item moved from the consent agenda to the regular agenda only for the purpose of showing support for the item. FPC21033 Communication update from the FPC Department Executive Director on department operations This Fire and Police Communication was PLACED ON FILE Fire Department 6. FPC21040 Resolution to approve the promotion without Competitive Examination to Fire Dispatcher-Sr. position A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Amanda Avalos, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Avalos, McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler 7. FPC21032 Resolution to approve the Residency Exemption request A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Amanda Avalos to grant a temporary residency extension for six months, with a written update to be provided on or before June 30, 2021 by Firefighter Barlock. A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Amanda Avalos, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Avalos, McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler Police Department 8. FPC21035 Communication relating to the Modification of the Disciplinary Action of Police Officer City of Milwaukee Page 2 FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes - Final February 18, 2021 This Fire and Police Communication was PLACED ON FILE 9. FPC21038 Resolution to approve the promotion to the Administrative Assistant I position A motion was made by Anna Wilson, seconded by Fred Crouther, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Avalos, McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler 10. FPC21036 Resolution to approve the promotion to the Office Assistant II position A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Amanda Avalos, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Avalos, McKenzie, Cocroft, Crouther, and Wilson No: 0 Excused: 1- Soler Motion to Adjourn Commissioner Wilson motioned to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Cocroft. The meeting ended at 6:47 p.m. The Board may receive a motion to convene in closed session in City Hall, room 301-B, 200 East Wells Street, on the modification of disciplinary action or promotions in the Police Department, or the promotion or the Residency Exemption request in the Fire Department pursuant to Section 19.85(1) (b), Wis. Stat. for the purpose of considering information pertaining to the dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee, pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(c) Wis. Stats. to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over whom the Board has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, or pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(f) Wis. Stats. to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories of specific candidates for employment which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning any such item following the closed session. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
