FPC21149 Resolution relating to the Fire Chief Selection Process A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Amanda Avalos, that Acting Fire Chief Aaron Lipski be appointed to the position of Fire Chief for the City of Milwaukee Fire Department to serve the remaining term of former Fire Chief Mark Rohlfing, which term will end May 17, 2022. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Avalos, Cocroft, Crouther, and Soler No: 0 Absent: 2- McKenzie, and Wilson 8. FPC21161 Communication from the FPC Executive Director on department operations This Fire and Police Communication was PLACED ON FILE 9. FPC21165 Communication from FPC staff regarding recruitment efforts and demographic data related to testing and hiring processes for the Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee Fire Department This Fire and Police Communication was PLACED ON FILE Fire Department 10. FPC21156 Resolution to approve the temporary appointment to the Business Finance Manager position A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. FPC21158 Resolution to approve the promotions to the Captain of Police position (2) A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Avalos, Cocroft, Crouther, and Soler No: 0 Absent: 2- McKenzie, and Wilson 12. FPC21160 Resolution to approve the promotion to the Crime and Intelligence Manager position A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Avalos, Cocroft, Crouther, and Soler No: 0 Absent: 2- McKenzie, and Wilson 13. FPC21159 Resolution to approve the appointment to the Emergency Vehicle Equipment Installer position A motion was made by Fred Crouther, seconded by Everett Cocroft, that this Fire and Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Avalos, Cocroft, Crouther, and Soler No: 0 Absent: 2- McKenzie, and Wilson Motion to Adjourn Fred Crouther motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Amanda Avalos. All in favor. None opposed. This motion prevailed. Stats. to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over whom the Board has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning any such item following the closed session. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
