FPC21274 Resolution to determine and adopt the selection process for the position of Chief of Police of the Milwaukee Police Department A motion was made by Joan Kessler to invite Acting Chief Jeffrey Norman to apply as the only applicant for the position of Chief of Police of the Milwaukee Police Department, seconded by Anna Wilson. Edward Fallone offered a friendly amendment, which was accepted by Joan Kessler, to add the following steps to the selection process: Acting Chief Norman will submit to the Board written materials, including a cover letter, resume, and statement describing his vision of policing; the Board will interview Acting Chief Norman at a future meeting; and the FPC will host community meetings/events, at which the public can ask questions of Acting Chief Norman.
