Public Comment Public comment was taken at the end of the meeting. Persons appearing: Tony Jones, Jr. Anthony Lewis A public statement from Ald. Russell Stamper, II, was read. Comment(s) by the Public. 2. FPC20256 Resolution to approve May 27, 2020 meeting minutes A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Angela McKenzie, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Crouther, McKenzie, Cocroft, and Robakowski No: 0 Excused: 2- Wilson, and DeVougas 3. FPC20257 Resolution to approve July 28, 2020 meeting minutes A motion was made by Angela McKenzie, seconded by Raymond Robakowski, that this Fire And Police Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Crouther, McKenzie, Cocroft, and Robakowski No: 0 Excused: 2- Wilson, and DeVougas 4. FPC20295 Communication regarding the Suspension of Fire Lieutenant Person Appearing: Fire Chief Mark Rohlfing 5. FPC20274 Communication regarding the Suspension of Fire Captain 6. FPC20294 Communication regarding the Suspensions of Firefighters (3 positions) City of Milwaukee Page 2 FPC COMPLAINTS AND DISCIPLINE Meeting Minutes - Final September 22, 2020 COMMITTEE A motion was made Commissioner Cocroft, seconded by Commissioner Crouther, to draft a "no tolerance" policy for racism and sexism within both the Fire and Police Departments for presentation to the full Board of Fire and Police Commissioners at its next meeting. "Ayes": Cocroft, Crouther, McKenzie, Robakowski "Noes": None Motion to Adjourn Meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m. Members of the Fire and Police Commission who are not members of this Committee may attend this meeting to participate or to gather information. Therefore, notice is given that this meeting may constitute a meeting of the Fire and Police Commission or any of its Standing Committees, and must be noticed as such, although they will not take any formal action at this meeting.” The board may receive a motion to convene in closed session in City Hall, room 301-B, 200 East Wells Street, or the reappointment request in the Police Department pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)(c) or (f) Wis. Stats., if neccesary. The Board may then reconvene in open session concerning any such item following the closed session. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
