FPC20299 Resolution to amend Milwaukee Police Department Community Oriented Policing policy A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Amanda Avalos that this Fire and Police Resolution be RECOMMENDED for adoption by the FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Wilson, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Avalos No: 0 Excused: 1- McKenzie 4. FPC21053 Resolution to amend Standard Operating Procedure 747- Body Worn Cameras A motion was made by Fred Crouthert, seconded by Anna Wilson that this Fire and Police Resolution be RECOMMENDED for adoption by the FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Wilson, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Avalos No: 0 Excused: 1- McKenzie 5. FPC21054 Resolution to amend Standard Operating Procedure 453- Officer Involved Deaths and Other Critical Incidents A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Anna Wilson that this Fire and Police Resolution be RECOMMENDED for adoption by the FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Wilson, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Avalos No: 0 Excused: 1- McKenzie 6. FPC21055 Resolution to amend Standard Operating Procedure 320-Canines This resolution is HELD IN COMMISSION for further review and will be discussed at the next Policies and Standards Committee meeting which will meet on May 27, 2021. 7. FPC21056 Resolution to amend Standard Operating Instruction-Sensitive Crimes Division A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Anna Wilson that this Fire and Police Resolution be RECOMMENDED for adoption by the FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION. FPC21057 Resolution to amend the Organizational Chart for the Milwaukee Police Department A motion was made by Everett Cocroft, seconded by Anna Wilson that this Fire and Police Resolution be RECOMMENDED for adoption by the FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Wilson, Cocroft, Crouther, Soler, and Avalos No: 0 Excused: 1- McKenzie Motion to Adjourn Anna Wilson motioned to adjourn, seconded by Fred Crouther. None opposed. All in favor. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m. This meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Fire and Police Commission or any of the following committees: Testing and Recruiting, Policies and Standards, Complaints and Disciplines, and/or Research. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Fire and Police Commission member results in a quorum of the Fire and Police Commission or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities through sign language interpreters or auxiliary aids.
