Public Comment Comment(s) by the Public. Comment made by Paul Mozina 2. FPC20394 Resolution to approve the September 10, 2020 meeting minutes This Fire And Police Resolution was ADOPTED 3. FPC19339 Resolution to review the Psychological Evaluation Process for Testing and Recruiting Commissioner Soler stated that a motion had previously been made by Commissioner McKenzie and seconded by Commissioner Robakowski at the September 10, 2020 meeting to approve and devlop an appellate body to review the appeal of candidates for the Fire and Police Departments who failed their psychological test. That motion carried. Therefore, this item will be placed on the Regular agenda for January 21, 2021 meeting as a Committee Report. FPC21002 Resolution relating to the use of Residency Preference Points in promotional exams A motion was made by Commissioner Everett Cocroft and second by Commissioner Fred Crouther to approve the addition of four (4) residency preference points to all promotional applicants' test scores of the Milwaukee Fire and Police Departments. This item will be placed on the Regular agenda for the January 21, 2021 meeting as a Committee Report. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: This Fire And Police Resolution was ADOPTED Aye: 4- McKenzie, Cocroft, Soler, and Crouther No: 0 Excused: 2- DeVougas, and Wilson 5. FPC20393 Communication regarding potential additional testing processes for Police Officer examinations This item is held in commission while the new administration continues their research into this matter. This Fire and Police Communication was HELD IN COMMISSION Motion to Adjourn The Board may consider a motion to convene in closed session in City Hall pursuant to Section 19.85(1) (g) Wis. Stats. to confer with a representative of the City Attorney's Office who will render oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the Board with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The Board may then reconvene in open session following the closed session. In the event that members of the Fire and Police Commission who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Fire and Police Commission or any of the following committees: Testing and Recruiting, Policies and Standards, Research, Complaints and/or Discipline. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Fire and Police Commission members results in a quorum or negative quorum of the Fire and Police Commission or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum or negative quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee's realm of authority. In the event that simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting.
