Present: 4 - Pieper Eisenbrown, Bauman, Clendenen-Acosta, Keating Kahn Excused: 2 - Jarosz, Peltz 1. 180276 Substitute resolution granting permanent historic designation to the property at 2590 and the property at 2594-2598 South Superior Street, the Beulah Brinton House, in the 14th Aldermanic District Sponsors: THE CHAIR The Bay View Historical Society is the nominator and the owner. Ms. Keating Kahn moved to open the public hearing, seconded by Ms. Clendenen-Acosta. There were no members of the public present who wished to speak. Ms. Clendenen-Acosta moved, seconded by Ms. Pieper Eisenbrown, to close the public hearing. The designation is based on s. e-3, e-5 and e-9. A motion was made by Patricia Keating Kahn, seconded by Marion Clendenen-Acosta, that this Resolution be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION AND ASSIGNED to the ZONING, NEIGHBORHOODS & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE . This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 4- Pieper Eisenbrown, Bauman, Clendenen-Acosta, and Keating Kahn No: 0 Excused: 2- Jarosz, and Peltz City of Milwaukee Page 1 HISTORIC PRESERVATION Meeting Minutes July 2, 2018 COMMISSION 2. 180330 Substitute resolution granting permanent historic designation of the property at 216-222 East Mason Street, the Milwaukee News Building and Milwaukee Abstract Association Building, in the 4th Aldermanic District. Sponsors: THE CHAIR The nominator is the owner. Ms. Pieper Eisenbrown moved, seconded by Ms. Clendenen-Acosta, to open the public hearing. There were no members of the public present who wished to testify. Ms. Pieper Eisenbrown moved, seconded by Ms. Clendenen-Acosta, to close the public hearing. The designation is based on e-1, e-5 and e-6. A motion was made by Ann Pieper Eisenbrown, seconded by Marion Clendenen-Acosta, that this Resolution be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION AND ASSIGNED to the ZONING, NEIGHBORHOODS & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE .
