Marshall Street (AKA 701 E Brady Street), in the Brady Street Historic District, for FoxBeach LLC. Sponsors: THE CHAIR Mr. Tim Askin said the owner provided a quote for 21 new Marvin windows and staff is satisfied. Wendy Wasserman - owner Owner will pursue the work. She is fine with this being denied and she'll submit a new application for the 21 wood windows, which will be approved by staff. Kilbourn Avenue, on land corresponding to the 800-block of N. 33rd Street, in the Concordia Historic District, for the Forest County Potawatomi. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Bauman, Pieper Eisenbrown, Jarosz, Keating Kahn, and Peltz No: 0 3. 201164 Resolution relating to a Certificate of Appropriateness for construction of a garage at 2237 N. Lake Drive, in the North Point South Historic District, for Ben Sadek. Sponsors: THE CHAIR Mr. Tim Askin said this is for a new garage that will not be visible from Lake Drive, but will be visible from Ivanhoe Pl. The construction will be plywood, glass and pre-finished wood trim with folding doors toward the owner's backyard and an overhead door facing the driveway. Staff recommends approval with conditions. Mr. Askin has gotten some concerns about the use of exterior-grade plywood. Nick Burrowes - architect Approve with staff conditions. A motion was made by Sally Peltz, seconded by Matt Jarosz, that this Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Bauman, Pieper Eisenbrown, Jarosz, Keating Kahn, and Peltz No: 0 4. 201165 Resolution relating to a Certificate of Appropriateness for installation of an aluminum storefront at 1213 E. Brady Street, in the Brady Street Historic District, for Johnnie Piette and Famous Smoke Shop. Sponsors: THE CHAIR Mr. Tim Askin said there was a complaint about the overhead door going into the storefront. The proposal is to restore everything back to its 2018 condition. Staff recommends approval as proposed. A motion was made by Ann Pieper Eisenbrown, seconded by Matt Jarosz, that this Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Bauman, Pieper Eisenbrown, Jarosz, Keating Kahn, and Peltz No: 0 The following files represent staff approved Certificates of Appropriateness: 5. 201216 Resolution relating to a Certificate of Appropriateness for repairs to the walls of the upper floors at 819 N. Brady Street, in the Brady Street Historic District for Jeno Cataldo (St. Bibiana). Sponsors: THE CHAIR A motion was made by Ann Pieper Eisenbrown, seconded by Sally Peltz, that this Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Bauman, Pieper Eisenbrown, Jarosz, Keating Kahn, and Peltz No: 0 7. 201227 Resolution relating to a Certificate of Appropriateness for masonry repairs at 2943 - 2945 N. Sherman Boulevard in the Sherman Boulevard Historic District for US Bank and LSF9 Master Participation Trust. Sponsors: THE CHAIR A motion was made by Ann Pieper Eisenbrown, seconded by Sally Peltz, that this Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye: 5- Bauman, Pieper Eisenbrown, Jarosz, Keating Kahn, and Peltz No: 0 8. Review and approval of the minutes from the December 14th meeting. Ms. Pieper Eisenbrown moved, seconded by Mr. Jarosz, for approval of the minutes. There were no objections. 9. Election of a Vice Chair. Mr. Jarosz moved to nominate Ms. Keating Kahn. The nominations were closed. 10. Updates and announcements. Ms. Hatala said there will be another national register nomination next month - a sunken ship. Ms. Peltz expressed concern about the two current vacancies on the Commission and getting those positions filled. Meeting adjourned: 3:19 P.M. Linda M. Parking tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
