Bauman moved to hold this item to the call of the chair, to give DPW a chance to check the area, thoroughly.. There were no objections. A motion was made by ALD. BAUMAN that this Resolution be HELD TO CALL OF THE CHAIR. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Borkowski, Bauman, Murphy, Chambers Jr., and Taylor No 0 3. 221617 Resolution relating to the claim of Silvia Marin. Appearing: Hermenegildo Zacaula Silvia Marin - claimant Joseph Marin - son of Ms. Marin and interpreter for them Juan Carlos Pacheco Jason Sanders - Sewer Section After lengthy discussion and extensive conversation between all parties present. Notwithstanding, City Attorney's recommendation and Sewer's section testimony; Motion by Ald. Chambers move to grant 20,500 to be granted for this claim. A motion was made by ALD. CHAMBERS JR. that this Resolution be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION. However, Ald. Murphy stated that if the Department's recommendations will be to deny, it would be prudent to hear the department's testimony today. A motion was made by ALD. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Borkowski, Bauman, Murphy, Chambers Jr., and Taylor No 0 7. 221818 Substitute resolution authorizing the return of real estate located at 5547 N 37th Street, in the 1st Aldermanic District to its former owner Dennis M Walker. Appearing: Hannah Jahn - City Atty Amy Turim - DCD Odalo Ohiku Dennis Walker and his brother Tanz Rome Jim Klajbor Ms. Turim reported this property had tenants living under inhabitable conditions. Ald. Bauman moved denial of this real estate. There were no objections. A motion was made by ALD. BAUMAN that this Resolution be RECOMMENDED FOR PLACING ON FILE. After committee had moved adoption, Mr. Whitcomb requested more time. A motion was made by ALD. TAYLOR that this Resolution be HELD TO CALL OF THE CHAIR. Mr. Eddie Jones -Smith was not present when called. Ald. Chambers moved denial of the return of this real estate. A motion was made by ALD. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Times for specific agenda items are estimations.
