Johnny Jones 4660 N 14th St - He is in support of the applicant. He has known him for ten years and states he has integrity. Keyana McBride - 4191 N 21st St - She is in support, as the business will provide a place for local artists to perform or display art. Ald. Coggs moved to amend the plan of operation to add an age distinction of 25 and older. (Prevailed 5-0) Ald. Coggs states she would like for neighborhood concerns about noise and parking to be addressed. She is in support as long as no issues occur. Ald. Coggs moved approval. There are only two stores in the area that sell groceries, instead of foods like chips and candy. She lives in the community and works with the block watch to clean up the area. She states that other stores are a longer walk for older people in the community. Individual appearing in opposition: Matt Melendez - Washington Park Partners - He states that there is an overconcentration of food stores in the area and there is already an issue with litter. He also states based on the gross income listed on the application, he does not think the business can sustain itself. Ald.
