Mark Brown, 3206 N 11th St, stated he is the facilities manager, and officers were not available in the summer as frequently due to summer festivals and events. He added that they now use an app to track IDs and patrons who are banned, and security guards were terminated for letting in underage patrons. Ald. Puente asked if there were cameras. Muneer Bahauddeen, 3330 W Lisbon Ave, stated there is loitering and the building is unappealing. Matt Armbrust, Washington Park Partners, 3940 W. Lisbon Ave is objecting due to the concentration of corner stores and the revitalization efforts of the neighborhood. Laquanda Butler, Milwaukee Habitat, 3426 N Booth St, stated Habitat residents have stated they didn't know the premises was a store, and is not mirroring the community. Individuals in support: Anthony Robinson, 1933 N 47th St, stated kids come the store everyday, and he frequents the store every day. Aaron Terrance, 3410 W Lisbon Ave, stated the store is convenient and he buys snacks there. Nyisha Givens, 1847 N 46th St, stated her kids go to the store all the time. Kanisha Donaldson, 1736 N 37th St, stated the owner is a good person and it is convenient for the kids in the neighborhood. Ald. Stamper moved for nonrenewal based on the unwillingness of the owner to cooperate with the community, neighborhood, applicant, and aldermanic testimony, threat to the safety, health, and welfare of the community, failure to make improvements to the store and poor condition of the store.
