Andrew Arena Individuals also present: Taryn Webb, 6th District Legislative Aide stated Ald. Coggs recommends a warning letter with the following changes to the plan of operation: Attend the monthly meetings at Hepatha Lutheran Church, close from 3 AM-5 AM, employ uniformed security from 12 AM-3 AM, and not sell to school age children from 7:25 AM-2:25 PM. Ald. Rainey moved approval of the change in operations. (Prevailed 4-0) Individuals present in opposition: Joyce Ellwanger, 1637 N 16th St stated she is opposed to the 24 license because the premises is a chronic nuisance and they do not sell a lot of food or gas, mainly tobacco. Mary Kannass, pastor at Hepatha Lutheran Church stated the applicant stated the drive-thru window is closed, but she has seen it open and in operation. Individuals present in support: Anthony Quinn, 1609 W Hopkins St stated the premises is more of a convenience store, that is well lit and safe and the applicant helps the community. Robert Jackson, 3247 N 21st St stated he is concerned about the store late at night, and he is treated well by the applicant. Ms. Webb stated that the community meeting held regarding the premises was split 50/50 and Ald. Coggs recommends holding the application if consensus cannot be reached. Ald.
