Michael Maistelman stated item #7 in the police report was related to someone whose car was legally towed, he added item #8 on the police report was related to a power outage and now there is a generator and wifi hotspots, he added item #10 in the police report is pending and he has met with MPD and the City Attorney's office. He stated that they're trying to figure out who the complainants are to resolve the issues. He added the Officer Thiele was overzealous in issuing citations. He stated that there is a high barbed wire fence and they have sponsored some community events. He added that a police officer will be doing a security walk through. He added that they're the largest tow company in the city. Michael Tarantino 3700 W Wells St stated #5 in the police report occured when a tow truck driver used an adjacent address for the tow and the citation was dismissed. He stated that there was an old pricing sheet on the wall. He stated that for item #5 on the police report the power went out and someone called the police. He added that the police were aggressive when then arrived. He stated that the system is internet based and wifi hotspots were purchased to prevent any further issues. He added that they are not a soft target. The burglars jumped the barbed wire fence and evaded the dogs. Individual also present: Dameon Ellzey 15th District Legislative Assistant stated Ald. Stamper has met with the applicant and the issues on the police report are substantial and they may want to hire security guards. He added Ald. Stamper is in support of renewal. He added that he received a complaint regarding upcharging and special fees for tows. Ald. Murphy asked about the security at the tow yard at 3700 W Wells St. Ald. Bohl asked about item #5 in the police report. Ald. Bohl moved approval with a warning letter based on the police report, holding open item #10 on the police report. Individual also present: Ald. Bauman stated he has received complaints from property owners regarding the premises. He added that the premises is the principle cause of the loitering and panhandling in the area. He recommends nonrenewal of the extended hours. Individuals present in opposition: Mark Charleton 10109 W Hawthorne Rd, Mequon, WI stated he is concerned about the safety of the customers and aggressive panhandling. Giorgio Gino Fazzari 842 N Old World Third St stated the issue is the aggressive panhandling that is occuring downtown. Individuals present in support: Dorothy Aleman 1946 S 7th St stated she loves working at George Webb and she has been trained very well to deal with problem customers. She stated there is a no panhandling sign and she calls the police. She added that the door locks between 1AM-5AM. She stated the fight with 10 patrons was an issue that occured with the patrons and in the other fight she was assualted by patrons and she pressed charges. Robin Thompson 1552 N 7st St stated she has worked for George Webb for 22 years and the training she has received is good. She stated her employees have been trained to use a taser. David Schlerer 600 N 121 St, Wauwatosa, WI of Isaac's Parking stated he agrees with the previous speaker and the panhandling has gotten worse over the past year. He added that their security system has a camera pointed at George Webb. Phillip Anderson 11425 W Canterbury Dr, Mequon, WI stated he agrees with the previous speakers and George Webb is an inclusive environment committed to safety. Ald.
