to be open late, and the intent is to be a cooperative neighbor.

Glen Gibbons 224 E Vine St stated he lives next door to the premises and there have
been different business plans and he believes this will be a bar. He added that there
will be parking issues and problems with drunk patrons. He provided a Facebook post
of the logo. Ald. Lewis moved to enter in to the record as exhibit #1 the logo from the
Facebook post. (Prevailed 5-0) He added that everyone leaves the neighborhood when
their kids reach the school age.
Tiffany Hoefer 224 E Vine St stated this premises will negatively affect her property
value and will increase her insurance. She stated parking will be a problem and the
outdoor patio will increase traffic. She added that she is opposed to alcohol being
served after 3 PM.

Betsy Rowbottom 2120 E Jarvis St, Shorewood, WI stated she's known the applicant
for a few years and is a great neighbor.
Rebecca Zufelhofer and Miles Baurgraff 1924 N Hubbard stated the run the Birch &
Butcher and it's not crazy bar business like Water St.
Vanessa Andrew 1737 N Palmer St stated she's been in the neighborhood since 2009
and the applicant lives in the premises as well so there won't be the same issues as a
bar on Water St. She added that the applicant is not a wild person and will bring in a
specific clientele.

Rika Woodley 112 E Vine St stated there will be no problem with parking and the
applicant has attended many neighborhood meetings. He added that a breakfast and
afternoon crowd will not be rowdy.
Theresa Manbew Rausch 2018 N 2nd St stated she moved in to the neighborhood 10
years ago and the property was always expected to be a bar. She added that the
applicant lives in the property, is family oriented, and active in the neighborhood.
Kristin Lobbs and Trevor Santarious 1832 N Palmer St stated the applicant is a
respectable neighbor and member of the Historical Brewers Hill Neighborhood
Association.
Alex Shortridge 123 E Vine St stated she agrees with the previous speakers and there
are no issues with parking.
Jerry Teagartner 101 W Vine St stated there is no concerns with parking and the
applicant is a nice neighbor to have.
Mike Styke N74W1734 Windlake Dr, Cedarburg, WI stated he agrees with the
previous speakers.

vehicles from her father.
Ald. Lewis stated the applicant's father appeared last month to renew the license and
she does not believe the story that the applicant's father's not involved.
Ald. Kovac stated that the applicant's father stated the monies owed to the City were
illegitimate charges.

Charmaine Wilks - DPW Tow Lot stated the City believes this is a collusive agreement
to avoid paying outstanding debt owed to the City. She added that the business keeps

owes the City $66,427.31. She stated that the applicant will be using vehicles

The applicant stated the police report is accurate, but he was nice to the police. He
stated normally there is no music Monday-Wednesday, but with the windows open it
can be louder. He added that he spoke with the general manager of the hotel to
resolve the issues and he can keep the windows closed if necessary.

Ald. Bauman stated there have been noise issues with the premises, the applicant
doesn't seem concerned about disturbing the hotel guests across the street, and he
recommends nonrenewal. He stated that noise complaints are a major problem and the
applicant's attitude is inappropriate.

additional security guard and he put up signs about loitering and leaving through the
back door. He added that he put up signs regarding parking. He stated that he hasn't
received complaints about loud music. He added that people turn their music up as
their leaving. He stated he was worked at the premises in 10 years and the Ms.
Cleveland has never contacted him.

Sherman Morton - 7th District Legislative Assistant stated the meeting went as
described and the applicant has done everything he agreed to do at the meeting. He
added that Ms. Cleveland doesn't like the premises and Ald. Rainey is in support of the
premises.

April and the applicant hasn't held up to his end of the agreement, such as
professional security, leaving the backdoor open, loud music, loitering, and public
urination. She stated customers play music at all times of night and block traffic.
David Thomas 635 W Montclair Ave, Glendale, WI stated he works in the
neighborhood through the Great Waters Group and there are difficulties in the
neighborhood.

Milwaukee Center (southwest corner of E. Kilbourn Ave. and N. Water St.) Parking tickets must be
validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code are required to
register with the City Clerk's License Division. Lobbyists appearing before a Common Council
