The applicant stated has been involved at the previous premises since January. She added that she was operating under the previous owner's license. She stated she submitted her license application in July. She added that she does HIV testing and community events to empower men and women. Individual also present: James Starke 1st District Executive Assistant stated Pres. Hamilton has received a number of complaints from residents and a formal objection with the BID. He added Pres. Hamilton opposes the license. Ald. Kovac stated the applicant was operating under a collusive agreement when she operated under Mr. Moore's licenses. He added that operating without a license is also illegal. Ald. Coggs stated she is concerned about the collusive agreement. Ald. Johanna Rhodes 2401 N Vel Phillips Ave stated she is a touring musicians and having the ability to play all ages shows would be life changing. Tracey Gesser 2887 S Baran St stated this will provide opportunities for youth to perform and go see different performances.
