Atty. John Guest stated the store will just be selling beer and wine, and no hard
alcohol. He added that they will not be selling single cans or bottles. He stated that
they have a shopping cart mitigation plan.
Ald. Lewis moved to amend the application to only sell beer and wine and no single
can sales. (Prevailed 5-0)

Arlisia McHenry - 2nd District Executive Assistant stated Pres. Johnson is in support.
She added that he is willing to hold the application for Ald. Lewis and Dodd to meet
with the applicant.

issue with the transfer, but because of the murder he has concerns because it hasn't
been addressed. He added that Ald. Rainey would like the application to be held.

Mr. Jones stated he is the cook and will be running the day to day operations. He
stated that he wants to have dialogue with the community about the tavern license
application, and would just like the food license application at this time.
The applicant stated she is amenable to the application being held.

Ald. Hamilton stated he wants to have a community meeting regarding the application.
He added that the residents have been against tavern and entertainment licenses at
this location because of problems in the area. He stated that a number of restaurants
have operated out of this location. He added that parking in the area needs to be
addressed. He stated that he would like the application held so there can be
community meetings.
There were 9 individuals present in opposition and 3 individuals present in support.

Limited parking for persons attending meetings is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit) at the
Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of Kilbourn Avenue and Water Street. Parking tickets
must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code are required to
register with the City Clerk's License Division. Lobbyists appearing before a Common Council
committee are required to identify themselves as such. More information is available at
