The applicant stated they received training about illegal dumping of tires and they have a company that picks up and disposes of their tires. Ald. Borkowski moved approval. Appearing with the applicant: Atty. Bob Myrof stated the employee who sold the tobacco a minor was fired. He added that he is in agreement with Ald. Bauman's requests. Bauman stated there is a store at 600 W Wisconsin Ave and 700 W Wisconsin Ave, who both have liquor licenses. He added that there have been issues in this area. He stated that the applicant told him he would be buying the store across the street and surrendering that liquor license. He added that miniature containers of liquor guaranty loitering and he would like to limit the sale to large containers. He stated that he would like the application to be held for an amended plan of operation and an agreement regarding purchasing the store across the street. Individuals present in support: Rodney Mitchell 701 W Wisconsin Ave #3 stated this is a well run store and there is no loitering. Joseph Eichstead 711 W Wisconsin Ave #1 stated this is a well run store. Colin Landers 2440 W Wisconsin Ave #722 stated he has been going to the store for a long time and it's close to the Marquette campus. Evan Windemeyer 711 W Wisconsin Ave #12 stated he shops at the premises for groceries. Lakeisha Gordon 711 W Wisconsin Ave #2 stated she goes to the store almost every day and everyone is really nice. Zach Drury 700 W Michigan St stated he goes to the store daily and everyone is friendly. Amir Amani 700 W Wisconsin Ave stated he's been struggling and now he will close his store by November. Parker Cristan 711 W Wisconsin Ave stated the business is an asset to the building and he agrees with the previous speakers. Ald. Lewis moved to hold to the call of the chair.
