the applicant has worked on this business plan for over a year now and that has
experience on the field.

Ald. Perez asked Mr. Weissgerber III, if he took a look to the police report of the
previous operator.
Mr. Weissgerber III said that he did not reviewed the police report but that he has
talked to the applicant about the responsibilities of being a bar owner and that the
applicant is extremely consciousness about it.
Ald. Perez said that there are some lessons to learn and that the applicant must call
the police no matter what and recommended approval.

and he said that he has no comments about the police report which is accurate.

Ald. Coggs asked if the fight happened inside the restaurant.
The applicant said that happened on the entry way and that he called the police as
soon as the altercation started and that he was present at that moment.
Ald. Coggs asked if there is something that he has done after that incident to improve
the security.
The applicant said that they have held meetings with the staff to address the safety
policies, and that the front door is locked and; that the store is operating only with the
drive thru.
Ald. Coggs said that she thinks that it was an unfortunate incident and that she has no
objections from neighbors.

owned by the same group as the other stores in the city.

Ald. Coggs asked if this application (with no police report and no neighbors present)
was scheduled because there is no representation at the district.
Mr. Cooney said that it is correct.
Ald. Coggs said that she has the same sort of concerns that they have with other
locations.
Atty. Randall said that the application is also before committee because there is a
reorganization of the legal entity, and that they will address the issues in the same way

as the other stores. He stated that a dedicated approach has been taken on food
quality and store appearance, and that they will address the litter issues reported
before at this location. Added that they have a training program and looking for good
employees.
Ald. Spiker asked if the objections made by the previous alderman are reflected on
the plan of operations like the daily clean up plans.
Atty. Randall said that they were included on the plan of operations and that what
happened was that the staff was not fully following it.
Ald. Spiker encouraged the applicant to check with management if daily cleans up are
needed more than once at day like at other stores is needed as well.

have more business during those hours.
Ald. Spiker said that the application can be held to have the police to talk about
statistics in the area.
Mr. Cooney said that the license can be renewed and to hold the change of hours.
Ald. Spiker said that he is fine renewing the license as it is because he tried to get a
hold of the applicant to talk about the change of hours and that he did not receive a
call back.

Ald. Dimitrijevic said that this store have had many calls for service and that the
reason to hold the application, was to have a written security plan with Walgreens and
its attorneys and that the plan has been added to file. She stated that she is
disappointed about not having a security guard on site but that it is an improvement
and recommended renewal with a warning letter.
Ald. Spiker asked Atty. Butler if they are requiring to have the officers go out every
time or if they have worked with the police to do another approaches.
Atty. Butler said that they are working with Alto and that this company has two
