The applicant was present and said that it would be the same project as the one he opened on W Capitol Dr. Individuals also present: Ald. Dodd moved approval. There were no objections. Individuals also present: Ms. McHenry said that Mr. Warda is getting back the store that he owned for 12 years with no issues and that the business relationship with the district has been impeccable. Ald. Borkowski moved approval. There were no objections. (Prevailed 5-0) A motion was made by ALD. BORKOWSKI that this Motion be AMENDED. The applicant was not present first. Ald. Zamarripa and the License Division got a hold of the applicant over the telephone. Ald. Individuals also present: Ald. Spiker said that he has been in constant communication with this business and that he is working close with the hotels in his district to avoid the issues that this industry is facing on the last two years. Added that he has requested that the plan of action be part of the business operations. Ald. Dodd asked the applicant if all the incidences from the police report happened during her management. Ms. Patel said that they have happened under her management and that her family owns some other hotels in different states and that they are seeing situations that never happened before. Ald. Coggs said that it is a good idea to start requiring training for the hotel staff in the current issue slike domestic violence and human trafficking. Ald. Spiker said that he is satisfied with what this applicant has been doing and moved approval with a warning letter based on the police report. There were no objections.
