Roll Call The meeting convened at 4:04 PM Individual also present: Sally Witte, Department of City Development Present 9 - DeLind, Morris, Fraker, Kosarzycki, Murphy, Kovac, Klose, Layden and Garcia Absent 3 - Cubias, Harpole and Hill Excused 5 - Murphy, Kingsbury, McSweeney, Flores and Balistreri 2. Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes Ms. Layden moved approval, seconded by Ms. Garcia. 3. Public Art Subcommittee Report Ms. Morris stated the changes that were made were updating the dates on the applications. - Review and Approval of 2017 Project Grant Application Forms Ms. Morris moved approval, seconded by Ms. Klose. There were no objections. - Review and Approval of 2017 Public Art Application Forms Ms. Morris stated there would be an information session will be held in May, she added the deadline will change to February 28th. Ms. Morris moved approval, seconded by Ms. Klose. There were no objections. 4. Review Suggested 2017 Meeting and Event Calendar Sally Witte presented the suggested schedule for 2017 and stated there are no major changes. Announcements Ms. Morris stated Ms. Garcia is the new director of the Walker's Point Center of the Arts. Mr. DeLind stated the Milwaukee County Zoo will be having a fundraiser next year reprising a favorite Milwaukee sculpture. Ms. Witte stated Welcome to Bronzeville will open in Janaury and Ex Fabula will having a storytelling slam in January. She added she will begin site visits in January for project grant recipients. Announcements In the event that Common Council members who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of the following committees: Community and Economic Development, Finance and Personnel, Judiciary and Legislation, Licenses, Public Safety, Public Works, Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit) at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
