Roll Call The meeting convened at 4:07 PM Individuals also present: Vanessa Koster - DCD Sally Svetic - DCD Present 11 - Murphy, DeLind, McSweeney, Morris, Fraker, Kosarzycki, Murphy, Kovac, Klose, Layden and Garcia Excused 5 - Cubias, Kingsbury, Flores, Hill and Phillips 2. Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes Mr. Murphy moved approval of the previous meeting minutes, seconded by Ald. Kovac. There were no objections. 3. Sustaining Grants Report -Update on 2020 Sustaining Grants Ms. Morris stated all 44 recipients have submitted signed agreements and first payments have been made. -2020 Sustaining Grant Interim and Final Report Drafts Approval for Web Ms. Morris stated the subcommittee needs to convene at review these reports. 4. New Business Ms. Morris stated the Public Art Subcommittee wants to speak with HPC regarding mural guidelines. She added that the Subcommittee also discussed an artist in City of Milwaukee Page 1 MILWAUKEE ARTS BOARD Meeting Minutes October 22, 2020 residence program. She stated that the West Side Arts, New State mural project submitted a revised budget. Ms. Morris moved approval of the revised budget, seconded by Mr. Murphy. There were no objections. Ald. Kovac stated the guidelines should also be shared with the architectural review boards. Ald. Murphy stated the Mayor's proposed 2021 budget cut the Arts Board funding from $250,000 to $195,000. 5. Old Business There was no old business. 6. Announcements Ms. Morris stated they received 161 applications for the Knoll Fellowship. The meeting adjourned at 4:25 PM. Announcements In the event that Common Council members who are not members of this committee attend this meeting, this meeting may also simultaneously constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of the following committees: Community and Economic Development, Finance and Personnel, Judiciary and Legislation, Licenses, Public Safety and Health, Public Works, Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development, and/or Steering and Rules. Whether a simultaneous meeting is occurring depends on whether the presence of one or more of the Common Council member results in a quorum of the Common Council or any of the above committees, and, if there is a quorum of another committee, whether any agenda items listed above involve matters within that committee’s realm of authority. In the event that a simultaneous meeting is occurring, no action other than information gathering will be taken at the simultaneous meeting. Limited parking for persons attending meetings in City Hall is available at reduced rates (5 hour limit) at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
