Roll Call The meeting convened st 3:15 PM Individual also present: Sally Witte, DCD Ms. Klose joined the meeting at 3:31 PM Present 4 - McSweeney, Morris, Klose and Layden Absent 1 - Murphy 2. Review and Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes Ms. Morris stated the minutes will be approved at the next meeting to gain clarification on a receipent of funds. 3. New Work Fund - Presentation by Still Waters Collective Still Waters Collective was not present. - Updates on projects Ms. Morris stated she will invite Teifenthaler Park to a future Arts Board meeting to present on their project. Ms. Layden stated the first marker of the Mary Miss water project has been installed at UCC Acosta. She stated 3 more art projects will be installed around the marker. She stated that Kristen Leenaars gave a talk at the Haggerty and just installed the third part of the project. 4. Conservation Fund - Updates on Projects Sally Witte stated the inventory is almost complete and is 679 pages. She added that appraisals of the artwork was also included and they will present their report at the November Arts Board meeting. Old Business There was no old business. 6. New Business There was no new business. The meeting adjourned at 3:37 PM The meeting reconvened at 3:39 PM to hear a presentation from Dasha Kelly of Still Waters Collective. Dasha Kelly of Still Waters Collective gave a presentation on The SoapBox Project. She stated the project would take a year, and there was a pilot project in August involving conversations around generations, gender, incarceration, and priviledge. She added that there would be outreach for artistic engagement. Ms. Morris stated this project might be better suited for a project grant. Ms. Kelly stated the artists charette would be public art. Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division.
