being driven by ImagineMKE. Ms. Morris reported on her conversations with Sculpture
Milwaukee, specifically their openness to partnering with the PASC to locate public art
commissioned by PASC within their footprint along Wisconsin Avenue during their
summer 2020 exhibition, which aligns with the DNC. It was agreed that the
Subcommittee should set a context and budget for the artists in the RFP, but let
artists submit their ideas. The Subcommittee was comfortable with setting aside up to
$30,000 for any DNC projects. The projects would run beyond the DNC dates and may
start prior to the DNC conference. Ms. Layden will work with Ms. Morris on creating a
draft RPF with the goal of releasing it in January.

5. New Business
This item was taken up first on the agenda.
Milwaukee Public Library Plans Ms. Paul Kiely, Library Director, and Jennifer Meyers
Sterns were present on this item. The library is seeking to use $50,000 in capital
funds for public art to move a price of sculpture from the Mill Road Library to the new
Good Hope Library. They have $25,000 in funds from last year and $25,000 for this
year. The sculpture is very large and installation will be expensive and a companion
piece will be created. The outdoor area where the sculptures will be located is for
outdoor programming. The Subcommittee encouraged the library to come to them with
projects for Conservation funds, which must be used for outdoor public art. Ms. Morris
made a motion to release the $50,000 for the library to pursue public art at the new
Good Hope Library.
Sculptures at the former Cargilll site in the Menomonee Valley There was an article
in Urban Milwaukee that the Potawatomi are giving away five sculptures at this location
as long as the new owner is willing to move the sculpture. Ms. Kiely and Ms. Meyers
Sterns thought that 3 of the 5 sculptures might be appropriate for a library and they
have five parking lots in which sculptures could be located.
6. Old Business
There was no old business.
Meeting adjourned: 4:25 P.M.
