Appearing: Joseph Blakeman - DPW Traffic A motion was made by ALD. PUENTE that this Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR PASSAGE. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 4- Witkowski, Puente, Donovan and Davis No 0 Excused 1- Coggs 2. 151389 A substitute ordinance relating to traffic controls. Appearing:Joseph Blakeman - DPW Traffic Part 1. Section 101-16-1 of the Code relating to Stop signs is amended by adding the following: On West Mitchell Street and South 36th Street in all directions Department does not support request Ald. Donovan expressed concerns from schools in the area and accidents that are not reported, therefore, respectfully asked committee support for this implementation. A motion was made by ALD. DONOVAN that this Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR PASSAGE. Per Committee there will be an amended Sub at Council to possibly include 8th Aldermanic district. A motion was made by ALD. COGGS that this Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR PASSAGE. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 3- Witkowski, Puente and Coggs No 2- Donovan and Davis 4. 151360 Resolution authorizing acceptance and funding of a 2015/2016 Milwaukee Area Violent Crime Task Force grant. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Witkowski, Puente, Coggs, Donovan and Davis No 0 6. 151373 Resolution authorizing the acceptance of additional funding for the Zoo Interchange Traffic Mitigation Project overtime agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Appearing: Dan Rotar - Budget & Finance Manager Srgt. Roberto Colon - MPD A motion was made by ALD. PUENTE that this Resolution be RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Witkowski, Puente, Coggs, Donovan and Davis No 0 8. 151208 Substitute resolution establishing a “Keep the Change” program within the City of Milwaukee to discourage panhandling. Appearing: Sponsor - Ald. Witkowski Adam Stephens - Deputy CA Per Sponsor, Ald. Witkowski request to amend file to specific language. There were no objections. A motion was made by ALD. PUENTE that this Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR PLACING ON FILE. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 5- Witkowski, Puente, Coggs, Donovan and Davis No 0 Meeting adjourned at 10:42 am This meeting will be webcast live at www.milwaukee.gov/channel25.
