Sponsors: Ald. Stamper Proposed Substitute A A motion was made by ALD. BOHL that this Resolution be SUBSTITUTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 3- Bauman, Bohl and Witkowski No 0 Excused 3- Wade, Davis and Donovan Individuals present: Ald. Sponsors: Ald. Witkowski Deputy City Attorney Adam Stephens requested that this item be held because the current draft is vague and a legal opinion would be required. It is unique because it is putting up signs in the public right of way with public funds. Ald. Witkowski stated this ordinance would allow the DPW Commissioner to post signs, decorations, and items that already exist such as holiday decorations. The concern is mainly for panhandlers who hang out at intersections and approach stopped cars. Ald. Witkowski moved approval with the understanding that the City Attorney's office will work with the Legislative Reference Bureau to finalize language. A motion was made by ALD. BOHL that this Ordinance be RECOMMENDED FOR PASSAGE. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote: Aye 3- Bauman, Bohl and Witkowski No 0 Excused 3- Wade, Davis and Donovan 3. 151330 Substitute motion relating to the locations of various Milwaukee County Transit System bus stops. Sponsors: THE CHAIR Individual present: Fran Mussey, MCTS The following bus stops are eliminated: 1. West Vliet Street, westbound, at West Highland Boulevard (in the traffic island on the east side of the intersection). 2. West Brown Deer Road, eastbound, approximately 70 feet east of the east right-of-way line of North 91st Street (southeast corner of intersection). Note: Stop is being relocated approximately 120 feet to the east. Ald. Bohl moved approval. (Prevailed 3-0) ; and That the establishment of new bus stops at the following locations is authorized: 1. South Kinnickinnic Avenue, northbound, approximately 80 feet northwest of the north right-of-way line of East Potter Avenue. 2. West Brown Deer Road, eastbound, approximately 190 feet east of the east right-of-way line of North 91st Street. Note: Stop is being relocated from approximately 120 feet to the west. 3. North Prospect Avenue, southbound, at East Juneau Avenue (northwest corner of intersection). 4. North Prospect Avenue, northbound, at East Juneau Avenue (southeast corner of intersection). Ald. Witkowski moved approval. (Prevailed 3-0) A motion was made by ALD. WITKOWSKI that this Motion be RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.
