1. 231462 Substitute resolution approving levying of assessments and
construction of assessable public improvement projects at various
locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City cost
of these projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be
$12,415 for a total estimated cost of $29,200.

opposition. She added that the alderman supports the project.
Ald. Brostoff moved approval. There were no objections. (Prevailed 4-0)

Ms. Rutenbeck said that 67 properties were surveyed with 1 in opposition. She added
that the alderman supports the project.

improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these
purposes with the City construction cost estimated to be
$6,577,986.48 for a total estimated cost of these projects being
$10,383,929.85.

the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming,
design, procurement, and construction of Street Lighting
Improvements at Various Locations City Wide, and to set up funds for
procurement of equipment at an estimated total cost of $160,000 with
an estimated City share of $32,000 and a grantor share of $128,000.

10. 231309 Communication from the Department of Neighborhood Services and
the Department of Public Works relating to illegal dumping.

Present: Jezamil Arroyo-Vega (DNS Commissioner), Kristen Reed (DNS
Operations), Danielle Rodriguez (DPW Operations), James Washington (DPW
Coordination Manager), Rick Meyers (Sanitation Services Manager) and Jerrel
Kruschke (DPW Commissioner).
Mr. Meyers said that about 50,000 tires are recycled each year at the Drop Off
Centers.
Mr. Kruschke said that on 2023 they received 1,903 calls for illegal dumping and that
they collaborate with DNS with many of those reports.

-The Van Buren project will be advertised this week
-Received a $4M Safe Streets Grant from the US DOT
-Speed Limit Reduction (just held a meeting, the official lunch will be done this year)
-Street Lighting (just awarded the first contract for circuit replacement)

Bike racks are available on Water Street, Market Street, and Broadway, and a Bublr Bike Share
station is located on the northeast corner of Kilbourn Avenue and Water Street.
Limited parking for persons attending meetings during normal business hours is available at reduced
rates (5 hour limit) at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of Kilbourn Avenue and Water
Street. You must present a copy of the meeting notice to the parking cashier.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code are required to
