Sponsors: THE CHAIR Holly Rutenbeck - DPW N. 63rd St. — W. Melvina St. to W. Capitol Dr. (ST211230139) Installing traffic calming speed hump(s). Neighbors present: Earl Seals - 3839 N 63rd St - the street was redone this year and that he does not think that the speed hump is needed. Individuals also present: Ms. Rutenbeck said that 24 properties were surveyed with 9 in favor and 1 in opposition. She added that the alderman supports the project. Ald. Brostoff moved approval. There were no objections. (Prevailed 4-0) N. 85th St. — W. Lancaster Ave. to W. Villard Ave. (ST211220258) Installing traffic calming speed hump(s). Ms. Rutenbeck said that 67 properties were surveyed with 1 in opposition. She added that the alderman supports the project. Ald. Westmoreland moved approval. There were no objections. (Prevailed 4-0) W. Custer Ave. — N. 57th St. to N. 58th St (ST211230130) Installing traffic calming speed hump(s). 1. Ms. Rutenbeck said that 12 properties were surveyed with 2 in favor. Sponsors: Ald. Taylor and Ald. Westmoreland Present: Jezamil Arroyo-Vega (DNS Commissioner), Kristen Reed (DNS Operations), Danielle Rodriguez (DPW Operations), James Washington (DPW Coordination Manager), Rick Meyers (Sanitation Services Manager) and Jerrel Kruschke (DPW Commissioner). Mr. Meyers said that about 50,000 tires are recycled each year at the Drop Off Centers. Mr. Kruschke said that on 2023 they received 1,903 calls for illegal dumping and that they collaborate with DNS with many of those reports. A motion was made by ALD.
