Warren Jones, Travaux, V.P. Construction, noted that Hurt Electric Inc. has performed
similar work satisfactorily on previous projects. The bid amount is less than the cost
estimate and a review of the bid indicates they have included all items in the scope of
work. Hurt Electric Inc. has the capacity to do this work within the proposed
construction schedule.
Kevin Theissen, Travaux, Sr. Project Manager in response to a question stated that
Hurt Electric was advised of the scope and deadlines for the project and were in
agreement.
Gabe DeVougas, HACM, Section 3 Coordinator stated that Hurt electric is Minority
Business Enterprise certified with the State of Wisconsin. Hurt Electric has identified a
need to subcontract at this time to another State certified firm, Rams Contracting, for
approximately 30 percent of the contract. Should Hurt Electric need to subcontract any
other portion of the work; Hurt Electric will contact Purchasing and Contracts Services
prior to seeking out any subcontractors on its own. Mr. DeVougas also informed the
Board that Hurt Electric is a Section 3 certified firm.
A motion was made by James A. Bohl, seconded by Dan McCarthy, that this
Travaux Resolution be ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following
vote:
Aye 6- McCarthy Wagner Perez Manzanet Crosby Bohl

3. T119 Report from the President

President Pérez directed the Board to a spreadsheet for Holton Terrace LLC provided
by Mr. Theissen and asked if he could clarify some of the information provided. Mr.
Theissen explained that the overall budget for the Holton Terrace project is on or under
the estimated costs presented in the spreadsheet. Mr. Theissen also mentioned that
he foresees that the costs will remain as projected for the remainder of the project.
