Wednesday, May 9, 2012 4:30 PM Common Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall
Meeting called to order at 4:54 p.m.
1. Roll Call
Present 10 - Williams-Davis, Klein, Rudolph, Eiland, Komes, Schmeling, Lewis, Davis,
Leachmon and Gibson
Excused 1 - Scotty
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Presentation by Rayna Andrews of Take Action Networks to discuss homelessness among
teenage youth.
4. Presentation by Patricia Kirby of Milwaukee Public Schools' Safe Schools/Healthy
Students Initiative regarding student safety and violence prevention activities.
5. Presentation by Tracey Dent of Peace for Change Alliance to discuss youth violence
prevention strategies.
6. Discussion of Youth Council initiatives to prevent youth violence and publicize positive
youth actions.
7. 1109 Resolution supporting the transfer of 2011 Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Harambee Ombudsman Project,
Inc. to WestCare Foundation, Inc., fiscal agent for WestCare
Wisconsin Harambee Community Center for community activities.

ADOPTED. This motion PREVAILED by the following vote:

8. 1110 Resolution supporting federal legislation limiting Student Loan interest
