7. New Business
From September 3rd to January 3rd the Milwaukee Police Department will be
involved in scenario training as part of their yearly ongoing training exercises.
Essentially what this entails is one officer taking part in a “scenario”, which they’re
given limited info. about, and then 10 to 15 officers watch along with command staff.
This year, at the initiation and invitation of MPD (with an assist to FPC), civilians have
been allowed to both assist in creating the types of scenarios that are used and to
watch and give real time feedback to MPD staff. Pastors United accepted the
invitation to be the partnering agency with the scenarios, and most every Tues/
Thurs. from 8:00 to 11:30, watch and give feedback to MPD staff. A large
organization was needed as the partner agency given the duration and frequency of
the scenario training.
This was sent to youth council with the intention to get their participation and
feedback; they are to send Mr. City Clerk their availability to particiapte in these
trainings.
8. Meeting adjourned at 5:39 PM
