3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. 1801 Resolution supporting the National School Walkout and the March for Our
Lives rally, and urging legislative initiatives to address gun violence.
This Youth Council Resolution was RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION

5. 2018 Youth Council Priority - Youth Mental Health.
Member Lofton presented Youth Mental Health Summit, taking place on May 26, 2018
from 12noon - 4pm, location to be determined soon; member Lofton is looking for
vendors and speakers who would like to share about this topic. Youth Council
participation is encouraged as this is part of the council's 2018 priorities.
6. Presentation from Milwaukee LGBT Center Relating to Conversion Therapy.
Council requested to reschedule this item for the next youth council meeting. There
were no objections.

7. Report on MYC trip from the President.
President reported their Washington DC trip summary.
8. Announcements.
Milwaukee Common Council members President Hamilton, Alderman Johnson,
Alderwoman Coggs, Alderwoman Lewis, and Alderman Stamper, are pleased to invite
you to a special 3D screening of the newly released and record breaking film, "Black
Panther" on Wednesday, April 4 at 6:30PM at the Marcus North Shore Theater.
About the Film: After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African
nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly
reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's
drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced
with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full
power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
Following the movie, there will be a panel and talk balk session to discuss the
engrossing story line and themes that has the whole world talking. In addition, food and
beverage will be provided for all attendees.
Space is limited to 5 kids and chaperones total.

at the Milwaukee Center on the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Water Street. Parking
tickets must be validated in the first floor Information Booth in City Hall.
Persons engaged in lobbying as defined in s. 305-43-4 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances are
required to register with the City Clerk's Office License Division. Registered lobbyists appearing
before a Common Council committee are required to identify themselves as such. More information
